Middle School Technology Class
Learn about the technology that makes your favorite interactive experiences!
In this class, we will learn the basics of computer science by exploring the tools used to create games, websites, and apps. In addition, we will learn how to use the Google Workspace tools to complete a number of different projects. Each student will leave this class with a portfolio of work that they can show off.
Course objectives
After completing this course, you should be able to
- Use Google’s workspace apps to complete different tasks
- Understand and apply the three fundamental programming blocks of computer algorithms

Required textbooks/materials
Textbooks
No textbooks are required for this class. This website can be considered a textbook of sorts as it includes worksheets and examples for students to use.
Materials
Materials will be provided on Google Classroom. All students should be able to access it.
Coursework
Assessments
There are no tests in this class. Instead students will work on a couple of projects meant to assess how well they are learning class material. See the projects section
Homework
Homework will be provided through google classroom. The only homework I will assign is that students acknowledge they have read about the things we will be doing in class the next day. If assigned, homework is due a few minutes after class starts.
