Music is really fun. Singing/Playing/Performing music can be daunting. But what about creating music? At one time, music production tools were the realm of large corporations, and you need access to a studio to create any sort of music. Today, everyone, even you, can create music.

Assignment

Today you will explore Chrome Music Lab, and find out what each experiment does. Ultimately, I want you to create a piece of music of your own using song maker, but you are welcome to play around within each experiment, and with each other.

Shared Piano

In this experiment you can play around on the piano, and create music by yourself or with each other. Create a room (top right), copy the link (bottom left) and send it to a friend to create music together

Song Maker

Create music by placing notes and percussion in the appropriate place. Note that I would like you to try your hand at creating something that takes up at least 16 beats.

Rhythm

Play percussion in rhythm (not a rhythm game)

View how sound looks like on the spectogram. A spectogram visually represents a collection of frequencies of music
